What this group brings to the stage is something very different from what you get
from any other group in Western Music today. 

They are considered one of the most popular Western Music groups in the Intermountain West
and are in high demand for shows ranging from family reunions to fairs; from small intimate gatherings
to large shows.  No matter what size of audience, they always give the best performance they can give. 

STAMPEDE! ®  has had the honor of opening for such great acts as the Sons of the Pioneers,
Don Edwards and Waddie Mitchell, Riders in the Sky and Dan Seals.  They also performed during
the Olympics in 2002.  They have also performed at such well known festivals as the Cowboy Poetry
and Music Gathering in Santa Clarita, CA, The Heber City Cowboy Gathering and Buckaroo Fair,
the Festival of the American West in Wellsville, UT and at the Elko Gathering in Elko, NV
plus numerous festivals and poetry gatherings throughout the West.

In the 5 years that this high energy group has been together, they have been nominated for numerous awards including Duo/Group of the Year, Album of the Year and Entertainer of the Year.  They have
won awards for Male and Female Vocalists of the Year, Terri is a 2 time National Champion Yodeler
and recently received top honors for Song of the Year 2005 from the Western Music Association
for her song “Colors (of the West).  In 2006, the WMA awarded them with the Crescendo Award
for the up and coming group in the association.

Meet the members of STAMPEDE!

David Anderson - Guitar, vocals and harmony vocals
David is an award winning male vocalist and terrific songwriter.  He was awarded the “Male Vocalist of the Year 2002” award through the Utah Chapter of the Western Music Association.  His deep, rich baritone voice has been known to make female hearts swoon.

David is from Harrisville, UT where he lives with his wife, Vicky and 2 daughters and his back yard is full of horses.  He works for the Ogden Ice Sheet, home of the 2002 Olympic Curling Events, where he makes the ice and drives the zamboni.

Steve Taylor - Bass fiddle, vocals, harmony and humor
Born and raised in Evanston, WY, Steve sports an enviable handle-bar mustache which has earned him the nickname “Longhorn Face”.  He is a fairly newcomer to the “wooden/stringed instrument family” but has proven that he can darn near play anything he wants on that bass of his, which by the way was his Mother’s Day gift from his wife.  His sense of humor comes naturally when he’s on stage.  You never know what to expect from him or when.  His rendition of a chicken is worth catching as Terri does her famed “Chicken Yodel”.

Steve lives in West Haven, UT with his wife, Terri.  Together they have 3 kids and 4 grandkids.  He works for the Dept. of Defense on locomotives and generators.  

Terri Taylor, The Epiglottis Goddess - Guitar, vocals, harmony vocals and yodeling
Dubbed the “Epiglottis Goddess” and labeled a “triple threat” by Ranger Doug of Riders in the Sky, Terri is also an award winning vocalist.  She was awarded Western Music Association, Utah Chapter’s “Female Vocalist of the Year” in 2001 and 2002, “Yodeler of the Year” in 2001 and 2002, and “Entertainer of the Year” in 2001.

She labels herself as “a self employed starving artist” and is a singer/songwriter that has had her songs recorded by other artists.  Her song, “Wanna-Be Cowgirl”, was nominated in 2000 for Song of the Year in the Western Music Association.  In 2005, her song “Colors (of the West) won top honors for Song of the Year from the WMA. She won the International title, “Female Yodeler of the Year” through the Western Music Association in 2000 and was awarded the “Yodeler of the Year” for 2003 by the Academy of Western Artists in Fort Worth, Texas.  She is rated among the Top 5 Yodelers by the Academy of Western Artists for 2004 and 2005 and rates among the Top 5 Female Vocalists and songwriters year after year in the WMA.

According to Ranger Doug of Riders in the Sky, Terri was the inspiration for his song “Jessie, The Yodeling Cowgirl” from the movie “Toy Story 2” and the Riders’ Grammy winning CD “Woody’s Roundup.

Terri will also have a new CD available in early 2007 that will include some of her originals and some of her yodeling favorites.

All three members of STAMPEDE!® are members of the Western Music Association where Steve serves as the President of the International Association and Terri serves as a member of the Board of Directors.  They are also members of the Academy of Western Artists, Cowboy Poets of Idaho, the Cowboy Poets of Wind River and the Cowboy Poets of Utah, where Terri is a member of the Board of Directors.
